Coronavirus

(March 08, 2020)

The ILFA Committee would like to reassure all members that we are monitoring the situation and will be following any guidelines and advice issued from Government bodies regarding the Coronovirus. We appreciate everyone has concerns and we will keep you all informed as and when new information is available about both trials and the International in May. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. At present our first trial at Straid on 21 March is going ahead as planned.

Precautions that each of us has to take -

If you have been in contact with anyone with flu like symptoms you must self isolate at home, as you don't know who they have been in contact with.Phone your GP & or the helpline for further instructions. You may have to stay in the house for 2 weeks.

Be over particular in your hand washing & carry a bottle of hand sanitiser with you. Try not to touch your face, mouth, or eyes in between hand washes. Avoid handshakes and hugs. (We can catch up on those later)

If you have any chronic illnesses or a low immune system then you would be better to stay away from crowds or public transport.

The virus will spread as all flu viruses do but hopefully if everyone is being OTT about their hygiene it will pass more quickly.

Thank you
